LEAFY SPURGE


Leafy  Spurge

Growth Habit: Perennial, erect, up to 3' tall,

spreading by seed or creeping roots.

Leaves: Alternate, long, narrow, ¼" wide and 2" long, usually drooping.

Flowers: Inconspicuous, surrounded by large heart shaped floral leaves which turn yellow-green near maturity.

 

 

On July 1, 1990 the Wyoming Special Weed Management Act went into effect for leafy spurge control in our county. Dalmatian toadflax was added as a second Special Management Program target weed in April 1998. Any Fremont County landowner owning property that contains these weeds may apply for special cost share programs to control these specific weeds. Please call the Lander or Riverton office for more information.

Dalmatian Toadflax

The cost share for Dalmatian toadflax is 100% if the county does the spraying.  The chemical is also cost shared at 100% if the landowner wants to do their own spraying.

                                                     

Leafy Spurge

The cost share for leafy spurge is 80% if sprayed by the county. The chemical is cost shared at 100% if the landowner wants to do their own spraying.
